We tried the Garden Sculptures geocache today. Dead fun, will definitely do it again. I especially liked being able to have a wee treasure hunt in the middle of the city as a small break from shopping 🙂
However we couldn’t actually get the cache as there were a couple of teenagers snogging right on top of it. For ages! Will try again tomorrow hopefully.
My mobile phone running a copy of AFTrack worked perfectly; I could even leave the GPS in my rucksack’s pocket due to the magic of bluetooth. (AFTrack is not free though, but worth the price).
I also played with maemomapper on my N770 on the way back: that works really well also. Very impressive for a completely free piece of software; I’ll have to get a bigger memory card for it, as the overhead satellite image view would be very handy.
