In celebration of passing 1000 downloads, I’ve just released a new version with a lot of work on the map GUI. 🙂  

Woohoo! We’ve just hit 1000 downloads! I wonder if this caused the market unavailability problem? Theoretically, at 1000 downloads, Google might switch you to a different set of servers, and it takes a while to percolate throughout their infrastructure. Schroedinger’s bus app anyone?

I’ve just noticed the Edinburgh Bus Tracker has vanished from the Android market ; I’ve had independent confirmations from multiple people. I’ve not had any contact from Google or anyone, so I can only assume its a temporary glitch like here or here. I see there’s been a 2.1 ROM for the Hero relased over at villainrom. What is even more interesting is that they’re using a 2.6.29 kernel source released by someone called "Ben22". Another hour’s development this morning, and I now have a bus stop proximity alarm!  (i.e. when you’re physically within a radius of a stop).
